This healthy volunteer study hope to explore a new treatment for autoimmune conditions. The study medication is designed to play a role in the reduction of inflammation in the body, when it occurs.
Autoimmune disease occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s own healthy cells, tissues and/or organs - leading to inflammation and various health issues such as celiac disease and type 1 diabetes. Approximately 100,000 Australians are living with celiac disease AND Type 1 diabetes!
The trial has been approved by an independent ethics committee and eligible participants will be reimbursed for their time.
