The purpose of the study is to trial a new potential treatment for high levels of Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL Cholesterol).

High LDL cholesterol can increase the risk of heart disease as well as develop fatty deposits in your blood vessels. Eventually these deposits grow, making it difficult for enough blood to flow through your arteries.

Today the most successful approach is a healthy diet, regular exercise and sometimes medication that reduces high LDL Cholesterol, these are usually lifelong daily commitments and may not work for everyone. It is hoped that this drug will lower LDL Cholesterol levels for an extended period of time to lower burden of daily medications.

The trial has been approved by an independent ethics committee and eligible participants will be reimbursed for their time.
