The investigational drug in this study is a potential treatment for Nontuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM). NTM comes in various types, affecting different parts of the body like the lungs, lymph nodes, skin, and soft tissue. While NTM is a health concern, addressing it is important for overall well-being.

NTM can be challenging to treat because it often doesn't respond well to typical infection medications. Developing new drugs to combat NTM is crucial for improving patient outcomes and preventing the disease from spreading.

The trial has been approved by an independent ethics committee, and those who qualify to participate will be compensated for their time.
