Netherton Syndrome (NS) is a rare and debilitating skin disorder that affects approximately 1 in every 9 million people worldwide. Currently, there is no approved treatment for NS. Individuals with this condition lack a protein essential for maintaining healthy skin.
The purpose of this study is to understand how the medication is processed in the body, including its absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion. This information is crucial for determining the optimal dosage and advancing the medication to later stages of clinical development. The study drug is a new potential treatment for NS, a genetic disorder that impacts the skin, hair, and immune system.
Participants will be compensated for their time in completing the study.
The trial has been approved by an independent ethics committee.
