Bacterial Vaginosis

We’re investigating a potential new treatment as an alternative to antibiotic treatment for Bacterial Vaginosis (BV). BV is an infection of the vagina that happens when there's a change in the normal balance of bacteria. This study is seeking relatively healthy female participants who currently have symptoms of BV.

Symptoms include:

  • Thin, gray or white vaginal discharge
  • Foul-smelling "fishy" vaginal odour

The trial has been approved by an independent ethics committee and participants will be reimbursed for their time.

Eligibility

Biological Sex Non pregnant females
Age 18 – 45 years old
BMI 18 - 30kg/m²
Symptoms of BV Vaginal discharge, & foul smelling "fishy" vaginal odour
Smoking History Non-smokers or smokers willing to abstain from smoking during the inpatient stay of 3 days
